Alexander Matthies

Alexander Matthies is a board member of GET AHEAD AG and has been instrumental in building the firm’s market-leading presence in renewable energies since 2004 as well as continuously growing the business in the production and technology practice. With more than a decade’s worth of experience in executive search, Alexander has successfully closed dozens of search mandates at the middle and upper management level almost exclusively through direct search. Alexander’s industry focus is on renewable energies (solar, wind, heat exchangers and power converters) as well as traditional mechanical engineering. A partner in the business since 2006, Alexander is responsible for the firm’s continued expansion and ongoing commercial success.

Before joining GET AHEAD AG, Alexander spent 6 years working for an executive search firm specializing in direct search with a focus on sales and marketing. Alexander successfully completed a technical apprenticeship with a major international aerospace company before obtaining his degree in business administration and sales.

A father of two, Alexander has a keen interest in vintage cars and enjoys traveling internationally as well as participating in automobile rallies for charity.

Robert Frisinger

Leading the company’s finance practice, Robert Frisinger has been a senior consultant with GET AHEAD AG since 2009. He successfully utilizes direct search methodologies to place middle and upper management candidates in roles ranging from taxation and risk management to corporate development, audit, treasury, controlling and accounting. In addition to his functional focus, Robert has successfully acquired industry-specific expertise in renewable energies and consumer goods while also leading the ongoing expansion of the professional services practice to include management consulting, audit firms and venture capital.

Robert holds a Master’s in International Business from the University of Maastricht where he focused on organizational strategy, change and finance. Before joining GET AHEAD, Robert worked as an executive search consultant for an international search firm where he was responsible for placing middle and upper managers in finance and accounting roles with clients across all industries. 

Married and an avid sportsman with an active interest in soccer and hockey, Robert is also a keen follower of technological developments.

Daniel Feldkamp

Daniel Feldkamp is a senior consultant with GET AHEAD AG and has been responsible for all international mandates as well as multinational CleanTech searches since 2009. Daniel successfully executes mandates for international clients in Europe, the Americas and the Peoples’ Republic of China with a strong focus on direct search for middle and upper management across the renewable energies space. Additionally, Daniel is the driving force behind GET AHEAD AG’s international expansion and spearheads the opening of the firm’s Charlotte, NC office in the United States.

Before joining GET AHEAD AG, Daniel was a senior associate at the London office of a leading global executive search firm with a focus on multi-regional projects in the financial services and technology practices. After completing his first-class honors degree in history and literature in the UK, Daniel went on to pursue a master’s degree and doctorate in international politics at renowned British universities. Daniel obtained his high school diploma in the United States, has previously lived and worked in Australia, Egypt, and France and served as a reserve officer in the German Armed Forces for many years.

In his spare time Daniel enjoys cycling and running as well as pursuing his interests in military history, international politics and traveling extensively in North America and the Far East.

Carsten Hofmann

Carsten Hofmann is a junior consultant with GET AHEAD AG focussing on production and technology functions as well as executing searches for sales and marketing managers. Carsten has been with GET AHEAD since 2009 and previously worked for a German executive search firm in a research role primarily within the engineering and renewables industries. Carsten is particularly interested in the motivation and personality of his candidates in addition to their technical expertise.

Degree-educated in psychology, Carsten majored in occupational and organizational psychology and has a keen interest in the optimization of methods and processes involved in personnel assessment. Upon completing his studies, Carsten worked as a trainer and coach for a global telecommunications company before pursuing a career in executive search. Joining GET AHEAD initially as Head of Research, Carsten currently executes mandates across various industries in a junior consultant’s role.

In his spare time, Hamburg-born Carsten enjoys going to the gym as well as running and playing tennis.
